Editing a novel sounds daunting when you get feedback from an editor. That happened for me the first and second time I received my edit suggestions back. After careful thought, I chose to take those edit suggestion and see what I could do to make the story better with them.
I literally just finished re-editing for the hundredth time chapters one through five and realized just how good the story was thus far. I mean really good (not to toot my own horn) but everything flowed nicely and the edit suggestions helped create the mystery the story needed.
So, what’s next? Editing the rest of the book. That sounds easy, but if you break it down into manageable chapters, then it makes all the editing worthwhile. Pinterest and the internet have many different blog posts and suggestions on how to edit your novel, but you need to take a look at what the editor is saying and really relate it to your specific novel.
