I apologize for being MIA for too many days. Friday, June 7, I had my gallbladder removed. If anyone tells you that having gallbladder surgery is a fast recovery, they are crazy. You also need help at home which I have been fortunate to have my husband home with me over the weekend and at my beckon call the past two days. I tried going to work yesterday and got too wore out for a whopping hour and a half. The pain meds don’t allow you to drive or work because you get quite drowsy. Today I took the day off to try to get through the day without the pain meds so I can go to work the rest of the week. I am the only one trained at my 9 to 5 to do my work. I am also fortunate to have bosses that understand and allow me to stay home.
I recently read an article on Pinterest about writing your novel on paper. I did that with my first WIP and by the time I was done (or so I thought) my hand was so tired I chose to not do all my writing by hand ever again. I do agree that at some point it is good because writing by hand on actual lined paper keeps you from editing or being your worst critic as you go along. You can write freely.
My plan is to implement some form of my writing from handwritten to laptop and adding in the writing binder to keep my notes organized. Remember to write how you write. If a laptop is more comfortable for you then do that. Many writers use Scrivener and I have yet to figure it out but am working on it with my next WIP. Getting my notes in Scrivener may help me be organized to perhaps write the story I want to tell within Scrivener.
There is not right or wrong way to get your story out – just write!
