I know many of you don't use planners on a daily or monthly basis. Perhaps just a calendar on the wall by the refrigerator that holds all of the necessary details of you and your family's life. I am a planner user and I have mentioned before that I use the Passion Planner.
Why? I use a paper planner because it is relaxing to sit down on Sunday afternoon and plan out the week. I think about what I may make for dinner with the groceries bought on Friday evening or Saturday morning, I plan out any time I need for editing or writing, I include my gratitude journaling. That is just in the weekly section of the planner. The monthly calendar I actually use stickers for each bill and write next to that bill when its paid. I can put those stickers right on the due dates. I include birthdays, anniversaries, and vacations.
I tried bullet journaling for a bit when I was still in college a few years ago and that took too much time to draw out each month and day and all the other collections that avid bullet journal users - use. If you can make a bullet journal work for you - great!
I have a board of pins for planners and it includes any kind of planning, organization, and even how to be more productive. I like the ideas and once in a while I try to implement one or two into my planner.
Ideas are a great resource for eveyday life. Not to be negative, but the only frustrating part about some of these pins is that the authors of those blogs are usually stay at home moms and not those that work the 9-5 out of the home jobs. I believe that stay at home moms work hard all day everyday, but sometimes those of that have to leave home for work need posts that reach us and understand us.
So not only on my blog will I talk about writing, I will try to include posts that reach those of us moms and wives that venture out of the house to work that dreadful 9-5 or for those of us who are empty nesters or even retired. We all want to be retired before we are tired. ;)
Those of you who use wall calendars, keep it up. Those of you who use paper planners like me - keep it up as well. Life gets crazy and we all need to know where we are and where we are headed to next!
